Project background and customer requirements

As a key national energy enterprise, China Huadian Corporation, in the process of promoting the clean energy transformation, needs to provide high-performance couplings for its 23 new energy projects to meet the special transmission requirements of different clean energy equipment.

• Batch demand: A total of 680 couplings, to be delivered in batches within three months according to the project progress

• Performance requirements: Torque transmission range: 500- 15,000 N·m, response speed increased by more than 20%

• Environmental adaptation: It can adapt to special climatic conditions such as high altitude (≥3000m) and strong ultraviolet rays

• Safety standards: Comply with ISO 13074-2011 and NB/T 31072-2016 standards for new energy equipment

Customized solutions

1. Specialized optimization for new energy

In view of the characteristics of photovoltaic/wind power equipment, the serpentine spring coupling adopts a lightweight design (reducing weight by 15%). The drum gear coupling is equipped with a sand-proof sealing structure to adapt to harsh outdoor environments.

2. Modular production system

Establish a modular production line for new energy couplings to achieve the generalization of core components. Configure an intelligent detection system to automatically record the torque-speed curve.

3. Project-based delivery mechanism

The new energy projects will be delivered in three batches according to their types: the first batch of 200 pieces will be supplied to photovoltaic power stations, the second batch of 280 pieces to wind farms, and the third batch of 200 pieces to pumped storage projects.

Project outcome

All 680 couplings have been installed and debugged in various new energy projects of Huadian Group. After 15 months of operation verification, they have maintained a zero-fault record in complex environments such as high altitude and strong sandstorms.
